Course Overview:
This course provides both theoretical knowledge and practical training on the safe operation of Hiab cranes. The training ensures that operators understand the necessary safety protocols, regulations, and operational procedures.
- Theoretical Training: Covers all aspects of safety and operational requirements for Hiab crane use. This portion includes a written assessment to confirm the understanding of key concepts.
- Practical Training and Testing: Hands-on experience operating the Hiab crane, with practical testing to demonstrate competency in real-world scenarios.
Certification and Qualifications:
- Upon Completion: Participants who successfully complete the course and demonstrate their competency will receive a Hiab Operators Certificate. This certificate is recognized by WorkSafe NZ and is valid for 3 years.
- A photo ID card will also be issued, containing the operator’s qualifications.
- Renewal: After 3 years, operators must complete a renewal course to maintain their certification and legal compliance.
